There are numerous types of membership applications for the Sonoran Desert Flyers.  First, be aware that you must also be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, our national organization.  They provide educational and field preservation assistance as well as site liability insurance that is required by our hosts, the Town of Oro Valley.  Membership appication is here www.modelaircraft.org/joinrenew.aspx.

 

 

 

 

If you are under age 19 membership is absolutely FREE, for both the AMA and SDF.

 

If you are over 19 then you may elect to join on a 90-day FREE trial basis, or you may elect to submit a full membership with all the benefits of that including the monthly AMA magazine, Model Aviation.

 

If you are over 19 and wish to join on a trial basis then please visit us at the field and any officer can provide you with the forms for joining the club on the free trial program.  If you wish to apply for a full membership then you can fill out the following form and bring it to the field with your first years dues of $20.  Your membership will be pending until we receive notification by the AMA that you have become a full member with them.

 

 

I have read and understand the Field Safety Rules (see About page) and the AMA Safety Code (see http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/105.PDF) and agree by my signing that I will strictly adhere to said rules and understand the consequences for breaking or not following the rules.  I further understand that my actions at the field which violate the stated rules could have the effect of Sonoran Desert Flyers, Inc. losing the privilege of flying at this site and having the license agreement terminated.

 

I therefore pledge my support to the continued efforts of the Club to preserve our field privileges by remaining in good standing with the Town of Oro Valley and the AMA.
